Medical billing services across California

Medical billing services across California

Claim N Billing works with private practices, clinics and solo providers throughout California, from our office in Irvine. Choose your city to see how we handle billing, coding and credentialing for practices in that market.

California billing is not one market. A practice in Orange County deals with CalOptima; the same specialty in Riverside deals with IEHP, and in San Francisco with the San Francisco Health Plan. Denial patterns, authorization rules and enrollment timelines shift with the county.

Accounts are assigned by region so the people working your claims already know the plans in your area instead of learning them on your revenue.

  • HIPAA-compliant workflows
  • Certified coders
  • Onboarding in 2–3 weeks
  • No long-term lock-in

How billing works when we're not in your building

The question every practice asks first. Nothing about your claims changes hands or leaves your systems.

We work inside your systems
Claims submit under your NPI and tax ID, through your existing practice management system and clearinghouse, to the same payers as before. We work the queue, the denials and the appeals.
Regional teams, not a general pool
Accounts are grouped by region so the same people learn your payer mix, your top denial reasons and your county's Medi-Cal managed care plan.
Credentialing is handled plan by plan
Provider enrollment differs across California's Medi-Cal plans and commercial carriers. We manage CAQH, applications and revalidations for the specific plans your patients carry.

Frequently Asked questions

No. Our office is in Irvine, but billing is done inside your practice management system and claims go to the same payers as before. What matters is that the team knows your county’s plans and denial patterns, which is why we assign accounts by region rather than at random.

Usually yes. The pages above cover the areas we’ve published detail for, not the limit of where we work. Send us your specialty and top five payers and we’ll confirm whether we already have experience with them before you commit to anything.

Yes, and the plan differs by county CalOptima in Orange County, L.A. Care in Los Angeles, IEHP across Riverside and San Bernardino, San Francisco Health Plan and Alameda Alliance in the Bay Area. Each has its own authorization and filing requirements. We confirm which plans we currently bill during the audit call.

Most practices are fully live in two to three weeks. Week one is system access, payer list and fee schedule review. Week two runs parallel with your current process. From week three we take the queue, including the aged A/R your previous biller left behind.

We sign a Business Associate Agreement before any access is granted. Work happens inside your system with role-limited logins, and access is logged. No protected health information moves through email or personal devices.

Most accounts run on a percentage of collections, so we’re paid when you are. Credentialing and one-off A/R cleanup are quoted separately as flat fees. There’s no setup charge and no minimum contract term.
